Cosmetic products with a shelf life of less than
30 months must bear the date
“best consumed before” in accordance with regulations
common in most countries.
These products can no longer meet safety requirements as soon as
the expiration date has passed.
It is not mandatory to have such labeling for products
cosmetics whose shelf life
exceeds 30 months.
Most of these products should not be harmful even after their expiration;
but they can change smell, color, texture or simply become useless.
Purchasing such a product could mean wasting money.
How can this be avoided? It seems so simple: just find the date of
expiration
or the words “Time after opening” on the packaging of the cosmetic product.
Unfortunately, cosmetic and perfume brands do not ultimately indicate the production date
or expiry date in a clear, human-readable form.
Instead, a product is marked with a batch code or batch number,
which suits the company, but does not provide any information to the consumer of
beauty products.
Worse yet, some online stores remove any additional labels
containing information
on the country where the product was manufactured as well as the expiration date.

What is a batch code?
Where can I find the code?
The cosmetics calculator helps you determine the manufacturing date of cosmetics
or perfumes by batch code or lot number, and provides information
general information on the shelf life of the product.
Please note that the stated shelf life is common and does not apply
not for all products.
You should carefully read the recommendations for each particular product
(supplied directly on the container, printed on the packaging or
published on the company's website) and follow them.
Please note: calculation results may sometimes be incorrect.
The algorithms used for calculating the production date are based on
partly on information published on official websites and partly
on information provided privately by consultants and resellers.
Unfortunately, we cannot and do not guarantee that this information
and the algorithms based on them will always be current, complete and error-free.
Therefore we recommend that you contact the company or its agents directly
approved to obtain
complete and accurate information about your product.
The batch code allows manufacturers or suppliers to identify the batch in which
the product has been manufactured.
If the product is not manufactured in batches, the code must identify the date and
place of manufacture.
The code is usually printed directly on or near the bottom of the container;
you can also try to find it on the product packaging.
